Good Acting VS. well... not so good acting...

Heya...

I thought about this "subject" for the last few days, because especially over the last few days I noticed OVER AND OVER again what I would consider as "good" acting and as... well... "not so good" acting... if not LAME acting...

Most of you know, that I'm watching German Daily Soaps "Gute Zeiten Schlechte Zeiten" and "Alles was zählt"... besides the fact that I absolutely HATE "GZSZ" and nearly ALL OF THE STORYLINES are just AWFUL (besides CENNY) and all characters besides Carsten and Lenny just annoy the shit out of me, I have to say that it's the opposite with "Alles was zählt"... I simply love it... and I only "found" it because of GZSZ... so it was a good thing that my friend Lisa told me last August "Watch GZSZ"... because she kinda made me watch it, and because AWZ is before GZSZ, I often saw the end of AWZ until I actually started watching it too and falling in love with it...

And don't misunderstand me... I still love "Cenny" and the storyline... but what I don't love is THE ACTING... and maybe it's only my feeling, but especially over the last 2 days, when nearly all CENNY-FANS *I* know went crazy and were drooling I was just thinking "Do you watch another show than I do?" Maybe I just expected waaaaaaaaaaaay too much of Felix Isenbügel and Alexander Becht, but for ME it was just awful and I'm VERY disappointed... it's as if the 2 are just not comfortable around each other... as if it's a "big thing" to even touch or hug... it always looks so... "unnatural"... It's not a good thing if acting actually LOOKS LIKE ACTING... isn't it?

And just to "show you" what I mean I decided to make a little "DENIZ/ROMAN" (Alles was zählt) and "CARSTEN/LENNY" (GZSZ) picspam with nearly identical or similiar scenes...

A Hug that should actually show the BIG LOVE of the 2 couples

You know, the thing is: Lenny was in Prison for 4 months... and Carsten and Lenny were only able to see every 2 weeks and not able to REALLY touch each other... so 4 months without much tenderness and so on... and that was the first time they hugged after he got out of prison (he's on prison leave for 2 days)... maybe it's because I saw the "other hug" right before the one of Lenny and Carsten, because the episodes were right after each other, but when I saw the HUG of Deniz and Roman after Deniz got the information he's not HIV positive, it brought me to tears... it was SO fucking intense and I could have watched them just hug for hours, because it was just... beautiful... and then there was the Cenny Hug and I just thought "boy, you haven't seen your boyfriend for 4 months... what's THIS?"

First Kiss after a while... which SHOULD also show how much they love each other

Right after they hugged, they actually "kissed"... BOTH couplese... so it was a similiar situation... Lenny got out of Prison... they hugged... then kissed... but even on pictures it doesn't really look like an "i love you" kiss... on the other hand Deniz and Roman... My heart was beating SO fast when it happend, because FOR ME it happened out of the blue... and it happened because Deniz just listened to his heart... and let his heart "speak"... and with Lenny and Carsten... I mean, they don't even kiss on the lips... it just looks AWFUL... (in MY opinion...)

I'm holding you close because I love you

At least that's what it SHOULD look like... with Lenny and Carsten it looked TOTALLY cramped and uncomfortable... as if they don't even know how to touch each other... for me it just doesn't look like they hug because they love each other, but because they "have to"... because it's written in the script... it looks kinda wooden... but with Deniz and Roman on the other hand... it looks like they are REALLY close and REALLY love each other... and when this happened, even MARC was already there... which would mean, there COULD have been a little distance between Deniz and Roman (okay, Deniz didn't know about Marc at this time, but well), but there isn't... when they hug, it looks natural...

I enjoy being with you

 

Again: at least it's what it SHOULD look like! Lenny and Carsten went to this lake and Lenny told Carsten that it's awesome that he's there and that he can't believe they are together again... and Carsten comes and hugs him... for me it looks more like he's asking himself "does it look good in the camera? I hope so" and "Is the take already over, so I can get my hands OFF him?"... on the other hand Deniz and Roman... even if Roman looks a bit grumpy on this picture it looks "normal" for them to hug... *sighs*

Kiss after having hot, firey Sex

Both scenes were right after the couples had sex... Of course we didn't see the sex at all... but that's not the point... on the picture with Carsten and Lenny it looks like Carsten wants to eat Lenny... or as if he wants to... I don't know... it looks VERY uncomfortable, and not like an "it was so good and I love you and that's why I'm kissing you now" - Kiss... on the other Hand... Deniz and Roman... it's nearly the "same position", but it looks A LOT more intense and gentle and loveable... it looks as if Roman REALLY loves Deniz and that's why he kisses him...

I want you NOW

Both scenes are "right before sex" scenes... in the first scene - it was a short time before Lenny's court case and they just wanted to really enjoy their time... they were sitting on the bed and talking and then they looked at each other and Carsten ripped open Lennys shirt and they "rolled over"... and then the scene was over, but even THIS looked SO very unnatural and the laying on each other doesn't look very comfortable... on the other hand we have Deniz and Roman... who were just hot for each other in this moment and wanted each other... tehy are not even laying FULLY on each other and still it looks as if they REALLY wanna have sex right now...

Kiss from a distance

Here we have Lenny and Carsten again... In defense of Carsten and Lenny I have to say, it was the 3rd kiss they EVER shared on this show, but it looked just AWFUL... I mean, they are not even STANDING CLOSE to each other... they were talking to each other and Lenny wanted to "prove" Carsten that he loves him, and so he kissed him... when I first saw it, I just thought "OMG what's THIS?" and from "away" it looks even more strange then the closeup of this kiss... but in the closeup, we again "see" that they are not eaven kissing on the mouth and that it looks just strange... on the other side there is Deniz and Roman... the kiss from yesterday's episode... and even from the "distance" it looks very gentle and tender... and we can't even see their mouthes... still it looks like they are enjoying it... other than Lenny and Carsten...

Ready to have sex

In both pictures the pairings are about to have sex soon... the thing is: Carsten and Lenny even KISSED in this position... not really standing close to each other... barely touching... and then they were falling onto the bed, just like they are standing there, and the scene was over... on the other Hand Deniz and Roman... I know it's not a "similiar position", but even from the looks on their faces they are TOTALLY full of passion... and they want each other... and the touching is just... great... the moment is just great... with Carsten and Lenny it was... strange to watch... I wouln't been able to touch and kiss like that, if the other person isn't even close to me... when Lenny was undressing Carstens Shirt he wasn't even touching his skin... it was as if he tried ONLY to touch the fabric and it looked strange...

Cuddling in bed

Both couples just had sex and are cuddling in bed afterwards... or at least that's what Lenny and Carsten call "cuddling"... that's all we got from this scene... that's all the "cuddling because I'm so happ right now" thing... they were laying next to each other... looking at each other but barely touching again... I don't know what's the problem with the 2 boys, because Felix said he likes to work with Alexander (Felix plays Carsten, Alexander plays Lenny!) and that the chemistry is right... chemistry? I must have missed something, because I don't see chemistry... on the other side Deniz and Roman... cuddling after sex either... they look totally exhasted, but happy... and even if the position doesn't look like all to comfy, they look lilke they are enjoying each other... =D I simply love it...

Tender Kiss

Sadly this was the "best" Cenny kiss we EVER got... at least in my opinion... and it was BEFORE Lenny went to Prison... they were talking about the future and also about the past and Carsten told Lenny that they will make it through together and that he will wait for him... if you wanna see the "whole kiss" just take a look in my sidebar... it's in there... that was the first time their kissing actually LOOKED LIKE KISSING and not like pressing mouthes against each other... I really don't get it... is id bad acting? Bad Chemistry? Or only my imagination and I'm taking things "too serieous"??? Because whenever Roman and Deniz kiss I feel like I'm in heaven... it makes me happy it makes me cry and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna cry like a baby when thehy FINALLY will get together again, because I will be SO happy and because it will look SO good... the kiss I choose here from Deniiz and Roman was such a great and hot kiss under the shower and I simply love their scenes SO much :-)

So well... I'm ready now and I just had to get this out of my head... Maybe I was just expecting too much from Lennys Prison "vacation" but to be honest: I'M pretty dissapointed... even Felix disappointed me, because I think I overestimated his acting skills... it can't be only Alexanders fault that they don't touch me like they should, can it?
